Quest feature in progress

Thought I'd write a quick update log on current progress as it's been a week since I wrote something.

So after doing to initial hashing out of some ideas and populating my empty project management tool with some tickets I started working on a new feature for the game, Quests!

I'm sure you all know what I mean by quests but just in case I'll be explicit, the idea is the game will prompt you with tasks that you should be trying to complete based on in game events. There will be a menu with a list of your current quests, showing what you need to do to complete them and whether they have been completed or not. 

Under the hood I have had to create a new activity logger that records when the player has performed a significant action, for example I have added the recording of the number of times a player has spoken to any given NPC and also if they have spoken to them at all. 

This ties into the first quest that I am hoping to create which is for the player to speak to every NPC in the game. Currently there are 5 NPCs in the village, this will increase with time, as I make the map larger and add more features, but for now I have added in a unique piece of dialog for each character as they introduce themselves to the player for the first time.

So next I need to work on the actual quest data structure and get the game to start remembering what quests a player currently has and then check and remember if and when a quest has been completed.

That's all for now, I'm hoping to have this quest feature finished in the next couple of weeks which is when I will push the update so you can try it out for yourselves.
