Initial Alpha Release 0.0.1
Hi there!
I'm the developer of A Witches Story and i'm so excited to finally be in a position to release this early stage alpha version of my game and start doing my development in public rather than behind closed doors.
I've been working on the game for just over a year at this point and i've really been pushing hard recently to get the game to state where I am happy for people to start playing around with it. At this point the game is at the MVP (minimum viable product) stage, there's a full game loop, with some basic features, art and music. There's hundreds more features I plan to build but at this point currently in the game there is the following content:
- An introduction sequence with dialog
- Player can move around
- Player can fly their broom around
- Player can talk to NPCs
- Player can pick up mail and deliver it to NPCs for gold
- Gold can be sent to buy food items every day
- Consuming food items replenishes energy
- Energy is consumed when flying the broom
- In game clock
- Interacting with bed will allow the player to sleep until the next day replenishing their energy
- If the player is awake to late they will eventually pass out and wake up in bed the next day with less than full energy
That's all I have for now, I will hopefully do another dev log really soon with some new features but until then please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the game so far!
